born April 15th 1740 in a small town just out of Salem Massachusetts. Elisabeth was a gorgeous fiery redhead with emerald green eyes, a quiet girl who kept to herself and spent her free time reading any and everything that she could get her hands on. On the eve of September 27th 1768 she was accused of seducing the town storekeeper and being in league with the devil. She was branded a witch and then hung from an apple tree that grew near the church. Before she died she remembered words that she had read in an old obscure book. In fear of her life and blinded by rage, she called out to an old and forgotten God. She asked for him to accept her into his life and world. She asked to be given dark birth. Elisabeth’s body went limp and her eyes hazed over, as the last breath of life left her. Time passed and everyone went on with their lives as if nothing had ever happened. The tree from which she was hung began to bear fruit, large fiery red apples the likes of which no one had ever seen. Not to be dissuaded, everyone began to feast upon the bright red succulent fruit. Every man woman and child ate from this killing tree. Soon thereafter the men in town began to burn up with a fever. Those who did not die from the sickness were either blind or killed themselves, by hanging. Women who were pregnant bore still born children while women who were without child became fertile with new life within them, 9 in total. The town’s children also became ill, suffering from mysterious illnesses and their bones became brittle and started to break. 9 months after the once barren women birthed healthy beautiful girls, each of which had emerald green eyes. After all was said and done, those left in the once God Fearing town now feared something else, something dark and malevolent that loomed over them. Lady Fate was watching over them, making certain all stayed truthful, honest and faithful. Any who dared turn their glance towards another or tell false truth against the innocent would reap what they had sown. The tree that had been the tool in which Elisabeth was murdered now stands as a monument to her memory. A fence of stone and steel now encompasses the entire tree. There is a plaque on the outside of the wall that surrounds the tree with these words, “Vengeance Bears Wicked Fruit.”
